Childrens Church
Where life change happens for our children
Luke 18: 16
“Jesus call them to him, saying, ‘let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for toch belongs the kingdom of God’”
Here at West View, we offer children’s ministry to all ages. Age appropriate lessons, relevant and overall filled with fun. We strive to teach the love of God and want to guide and help develop a loving, passionate and vibrant relationship with Jesus.
Each Sunday the children are welcomed into a safe, child-friendly and fun environment. Our passionate children ministry teacher take great joy in inviting new children to the classrooms.
We have 3 kid’s services, running parallel to the main Sunday services at 7h45, 9h45 & 18h00.
Registration opens 20 minutes before 9h45 service. For the 7h45 and 18h00 services children join in for worship and are invited to leave and join their Godly Play lesson.
Our children’s ministry aims to equip young children, together with their families, to grow in their faith and trust Jesus.

- Sunday
We have children’s church at all three services. At our 07h45 and 18h00 service we offer Godly Play to a smaller group of children and at 09h45 we offer a vibrant children’s programme in two departments for older and younger kids.
7h45 Service
Godly play
- Godly Play is an approach to children’s ministry which takes seriously the spiritual depth of children and presents the stories of God’s people in an interactive yet reverent way. Small groups of children gather in a circle to spend time in contemplative silence, worship, fellowship and teaching. Godly Play is a child-centred approach where children are given the space to formulate and express their own ideas and understanding about God.
- Children join their family for worship in the main service, which there the minister will dismiss the children with the teacher to the Godly play classroom.
9h45 Service
Children's church
Treehouse (Age 1 – Grade 4)
- The word TREEHOUSE conjures up an image of fun, belonging and friendship and this is exactly what we would like the children to experience – fun, belonging and friendship with Jesus and with one another!
- We meet at the premises of West View College Pre-School. Children worship in a large group and then divide into smaller groups for age-appropriate interactive lessons.
Greenhouse (Grade 5-7)
- A GREENHOUSE is a place of rapid growth in a nurturing environment, and it is our vision for our tweens (Grade 5-7) to experience a caring environment where they can learn about God in a stage of life when they are growing and changing rapidly.
- The Greenhouse kids are asked to bring their Bibles as we endeavour to develop a love for the word of God.
- We meet at the premises opposite the main entrance to the church.

Twice a year, the teenagers at West View serve the community by running a highly structured and incredibly fun holiday programme for children. The Youth and Children’s pastors work together to create a safe, fun environment where Christian values can be conveyed through games, art, dance and other fun activities.
Holiday Club is 8am – 1pm Monday to Friday for one week during selected school holidays.

We offer a Youth Group for children grade 4 – 7 called TWIGS, which stands for Tweens in God’s Sight.
The purpose of this ministry is to build relationships among the children that will last them beyond their childhood years as they grow in the life of the church.
We run a program that is vibrant and filled with excitement and fun.
We meet in the church parking lot at 18h00 before we start with our program.
